About Us

In 1948, Donald Ross designed the original 9-hole course, Moore Park, for the exclusive use of the Burlington Mill employees. The course was sold to the Town of Mooresville in the mid-1970s when the name was changed to the Mooresville Municipal Golf Course. In 1978, the Town received a federal grant to design the back nine and add a clubhouse.

The course remained unchanged until 2014 when the Town's citizens approved recreation bonds to renovate the course. The course redesign was completed by Kris Spence in 2016, and the name was changed to the Mooresville Golf Club.

The Mooresville Golf Club boasts a 17,000 square-foot clubhouse, offering its patrons access to a restaurant, snack bar, grill, outdoor seating, and garage facility to house golf carts with top-of-the-line GPS systems.

The public course features a layout with a links (front 9-holes) and parkland (back 9-holes) style golf experience. Upgrades to the
course include 64 bunkers, 5.2 miles of concrete cart paths, a dual-sided driving range, and a short game practice area. It also
includes double-row irrigation with more than 1,200 sprinkler heads.

Mooresville Golf Club was awarded the third-best golf course renovation in 2017 by Golf Inc. magazine. With the renovations complete, Mooresville Golf Club is truly one of the best golf
courses around.
